The liquid crystal display is one of the largest, at 4.3 inches, and takes up practically the entire face of the device, save for four slivers of buttons.

-- Size: The DROID X is probably one of the largest phones out there. It’s BIG.
-- Speed: The 1Ghz processor in here screams. Seems to be even faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 1Ghz processor found in the HTC Incredible.
-- Screen: One word: Heavenly.
-- OS: It’s Android 2.1, and it’s tweaked by Motorola with a few VERY cool enhancements. Motorola made a point in saying it’s NOT BLUR, and I tend to agree. It’s just relatively minor enhancements and tweaks that make 2.1 even better.
-- Camera: the 8MP camera is really nice. Scenes is really sweet, it allows you to use different “profiles” when taking photos, so you can choose which microphone you want to use. Very nice touch.
-- Battery Life: Haven’t had much time to test it, but first impressions are good. I was quite worried that battery life would suck because of the giant screen, but not really the case here. Good job, Motorola.

Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha recently said that Motorola will field between two and four video calling-capable handsets by the end of the year to compete with Apple's iPhone 4.

Video calling allows two mobile phone users to share a live, two-way video feed of one another, generally through the use of secondary, user-facing cameras. The recently released HTC EVO 4G has this feature (using software from Qik), as will the iPhone 4 when it goes on sale June 24.
